Hello everyone! I wanted to quickly share a video that was taken of me attempting to comfort my family during a memorial service we held last month for my Grandma Connie, Grandpa Gary, and Cousin Spencer.
The video above is simply the beginning of the memorial service, where I gave a speech to start the day off on a good note. Or at least, that was my attempt at any rate. I have never lead a memorial service before, and I must admit, I was quite nervous to do so. But, the weight of the responsibility of the ordeal, kept me focused and prayerful as I prepared myself for the day.
Thankfully, God helped me find the words and verses to say, as I asked Him to help me comfort my family in their grief for the loss of my Grandma, Grandpa, and Cousin. Being asked to lead this day, and to do this speech, was another sign to me that God had plans to use me in ways I never thought of before, and that I would need training to do His will here. Jesus is giving me opportunities to speak to people about Him, and I am thankful for this.
My Grandpa Gary passed away on October 29, 2022. My Grandma Connie passed away on January 10, 2025. And my Cousin Spencer was murdered on January 29, 2025. I feel it’s important to have a record of these dates, if not for myself, then for others in my family, which is why I am including them here.
The full memorial service video can be found here.
As mentioned in the description section of YouTube for the speech portion of the memorial service, I am ordained in a sense, through the American Marriage Ministries. I did that for my photography business, but I have always taken that ordination seriously. The few weddings I have officiated over the years, have been approached by me with a prayerful heart, wanting to “get it right” for God’s sake.
I am thankful that I will be in Ministry School, so I can make that ordination a more official role in my life, and have the training I need to help others come to Jesus.
If you have any questions about the memorial service, please leave them in the comments below. Thanks for watching and reading.
God Bless you and keep you!
